Global News went to four Ontario grocery stores to see how rising prices are impacting families trying to make ends meet, as part of its ongoing ‘Out of Pocket’ series.

Economists had expected a year-over-year increase of 0.4 per cent.

The survey, which was released by Dalhousie University, also found that 53 per cent of Canadians were looking to change their food shopping habits in 2020 to offset the costs of food inflation.
