City council has endorsed the creation of a new police plan for Edmonton, based on reforms generated from two weeks worth of public hearings that followed a massive rally at the Legislature.

Councillor Andrew Knack is asking for a detailed list of services that could be scaled back or eliminated altogether ahead of this fall's budget talks. It could be worth as much as $64 million.
