An Edmonton fertility doctor has written a letter to his patients advising them of actions that "contravened (his) professional obligations."

Dr. Tarek Motan, an Edmonton reproductive endocrinologist, said the cancellation of in vitro and insemination services at northern Alberta's only public clinic shows the province does not understand how desperate Albertans are to have children.
