A Canadian documentary that examines the use of force by officers in the Calgary Police Service will screen this week as planned after a judge denied an emergency injunction to stop the film from playing.

A trial started on Monday for Calgary police officer Const. Trevor Lindsay, who was charged with aggravated assault stemming from a May 2015 arrest.

Video has been released by a family that shows a man being beaten by a Calgary police officer while handcuffed. The incident happened during an arrest two years ago and the officer has since been charged.
