A veteran RCMP officer who was involved in the Taylor Van Diest murder investigation took the stand at a civil trial launched by one of his former colleagues.

The Saskatchewan government is increasing the amount of compensation jurors receive. Jurors will also be eligible for new compensation for dependant care.
