Anissa Wong with the Chinatown BIA says the act of vandalism occurred around 6 p.m. outside the Silver Dragon Restaurant.

After years of engagement and conversations with Chinatown, City of Calgary officials are ready to move forward with a suite of plans dubbed "Tomorrow's Chinatown."

Toronto Police Inspector Matt Moyer and Chinatown BIA members will be speaking about Project Blue Hog, a ten-week crime prevention project that will begin on Monday. This project will focus on deterring crime, theft, shoplifting, panhandling, public intoxication, drugs, and other issues in the area.
