Dave Kowalchuk, an Edmonton public school principal, was the man who died after falling from the edge of a gorge near the Sicamous Creek Falls, Global News has learned.

Edmonton Fire Rescue Services said crews, including a HAZMAT team, responded to what's believed to be a ruptured gas line near two schools in the Caernarvon area.
