The federal government banned the 737 MAX from the skies last March following two fatal crashes in five months that saw the plane grounded worldwide.

Air Canada said on Thursday its Boeing Co 737 MAX pilots were reviewing aircraft systems and alternative flight conditions for the grounded planes, and the carrier would decide on further training pending final recommendations from regulators.

Several airlines, including Air Canada and WestJet, have had to cancel flights and rearrange schedules in light of the ban.
