Last month, VPD confirmed it will be participating in this year’s Pride parade.

Organizers behind Vancouver's Pride Parade have countered demands that police be banned from marching in the city's annual event by suggesting that officers show up in fewer numbers and leave their uniforms at home.

This petition comes after members of the Black Lives Matter Vancouver chapter pushed last year for the VPD to voluntarily withdraw all uniformed officers from the parade.
