The BC Centre for Disease and Control said it is aware of six reports of influenza-associated deaths among children and youth (under the age of 19) in the province.

As the province has now entered cold and flu season, experts are urging people to wear masks indoors to stop the spread of airborne transmission of respiratory viruses.
