The report, released by a panel of experts convened by the BC Coroners Service, looked at the circumstances around 6,007 deaths from illicit drugs toxicity.

A B.C. coroner's report has concluded that the use of drugs contributed to a boat crash on Osoyoos Lake that claimed the lives of two friends in June 2019.

The coroner’s report includes a recommendation that interior health “ensures drug checking and information about harm reduction and substance use risks are available at major events where illicit substance use is a known risk.”
