A man charged in the death of a family doctor at a central Alberta medical clinic made a brief court appearance on Thursday before his trial begins in November.

Deng Mabiour, 54, said Wednesday in Red Deer court that he does not want a lawyer in his first-degree murder trial in the death of Dr. Walter Reynolds.
