Canon Canada recently equipped Weather Specialist Warren Dean with a Canon Powershot SX200 IS digital camera to photograph recent weather phenomena Saskatoon and Saskatchewan– from record rainfalls to hail and even a little bit of sunshine.
The results are part of Canon’s The Other Side of the Lens initiative. Featuring 12 of Canada’s top weather reporters and meteorologists, the images show ferocious rain storms, spectacular coastlines, unforgettable views, local habitat and much more.
The David Suzuki Foundation will receive $20,000 on behalf of the participants of Canon’s online photo exhibit call Climate: The View from Here.
In addition, Canon will be donating $5,000 to the charity of choice of the weather reporter or meteorologist whose photograph earns the most votes online. Warren’s charity is the Meewasin Valley Authority.
To see Warren’s photos and vote for him, visit www.canon.ca/weatherphotos. Voting runs now until November 22, 2010.
