32-year-old man stabbed and killed in Vancouver’s 11th homicide of the year

Vancouver police said a 32-year-old man has died from stab wounds, making this the city’s 11th homicide of the year.

Police said officers were called to Granville Street and Smithe Street just before 3:30 a.m. Friday following reports a man had been stabbed.

The victim was rushed to the hospital but died from his injuries, police said.

Police said no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information is asked to call VPD’s Homicide Unit at 604-717-2500.

Police have Granville Street between Nelson Street and Smithe Street closed at this time.

A number of police officers remain on the scene.
