MONTREAL – On Friday, the Global Montreal Morning News helped out at the Generations Foundation fundraising breakfast at La Stanza restaurant in Saint-Leonard.
Weather specialist, Jessica Laventure reported live from the event and was joined by some hungry and enthusiastic supporters, including the Shaw Bear.
Proceeds from Friday’s breakfast help the Generations Foundation feed nearly 8,000 Montreal area school-aged children each year.
Friday also marked the start of the Generations Foundation Holiday Toy Drive campaign, supported by Global Montreal, Mega Bloks and Shaw Direct.
This year the Toy Drive’s goal is to supply 1,500 toys to needy children in the Montreal area.
The campaign is also accepting donations of non perishable foods.
