WINNIPEG – A man recently sentenced for killing two aboriginal women in Winnipeg is no longer charged in the death of a third woman.

An outstanding second-degree murder charge against Shawn Lamb has been stayed in court.

The charge relates to the 2011 death of Tanya Nepinak, whose body has never been found.

Lamb was originally charged with second-degree murder in the deaths of Carolyn Sinclair and Lorna Blacksmith in 2012.

He pleaded guilty last week to manslaughter and was sentenced to 20 years in prison.

After the sentencing, Winnipeg police confirmed they paid Lamb $1,500 so he would co-operate with investigators.
