The highway was closed for the investigation but later reopened and RCMP left the area around 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, said RCMP in an update given Thursday morning.
RCMP said that there was a serious collision between a van and a pickup truck.
STARS took a 64-year-old woman to hospital, RCMP said.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
