The newest addition to the traditional family photo is known as Charlie, a chinchilla that was first introduced to Canadians on Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s Twitter stream in January in a photo that featured Harper gazing down at the rodent at 24 Sussex Drive.

Harper is among many prominent politicians who continue to mail-out annual holiday greetings.

The prime minister is seen wearing the same grey sweater and red and white shirt, while daughter Rachel and son Ben also appear to be wearing similar looking outfits and accessories.
