Global News spoke to some residents from the nearby area regarding the shooting and their concerns, Thursday morning.

“I heard a bang, bang, bang, maybe three or four times … I was eating dinner with my daughter, who came home from the U.S.A.,” Jagdish Pirdi said.

“We thought it might be the kids playing (with fireworks) but when we went outside we couldn’t see anything.”

Another man said he was watching the news when he heard the gunshots.

“This has happened (in this area), maybe over five years, at least three times,” Roger Haraba said.

“The problem is we have no police presence. There is a lot of (stuff) that happens around here, you phone (the police) and there is no response.

“I am thinking of moving. We pay too much taxes for this (stuff).”

Anyone with information or video shot in the area is asked to contact Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502.
