Montreal’s new executive council unveiled on Monday

MONTREAL – Mayor Denis Coderre has unveiled the members of his new 11-member executive committee.

The committee is responsible for overseeing major projects for both merged and demerged municipalities, including the city of Montreal’s $5-billion budget.

Marcel Cote – Special advisor to the executive committee
Pierre Desrochers – President of the executive committee
Anie Samson – Vice-president of the executive committee and public safety and services for citizens
Harout Chitilian – Vice-president of the executive committee and administrative reform, information technology and Smart City files

Dimitrios Jim Beis – Procurement, sports and ethnic communities
Russell Copeman – Housing, urban planning, real estate, real estate transactions, strategies and public consultation
Manon Gauthier – Culture, heritage, design, Space for Life and status of women
Jean-Marc Gibeau – President of the caucus and Ville-Marie borough council member
Francesco Miele – Majority leader
Réal Ménard – Sustainable development, environment, large parks and green spaces
