Cranbrook RCMP uncover LSD-laced gummy bears

RCMP in Cranbrook are warning parents about the presence of some LSD-laced candy in their community.

Police found the candy “˜gummy bears’ during the execution of a search warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act this spring.

Because of its location, the RCMP had the candy analyzed and found it was laced with the psychedelic drug officially called Lysergic Acid Diethylamide.

Police believe the candy would only be purchased by someone wanting it for personal use, but they are warning the public because of the possible severe effects the drug would have on children if they took it by mistake.
