Corrections Services Canada (CSC) say an inmate from Collins Bay Institution in Kingston was found just hours after reported missing by the facility.
OPP revealed Wednesday morning they were seeking Joshua Kenneth Kohl, 42, serving an indeterminate sentence for second-degree murder.
He was being held in a minimum security unit when corrections staff discovered he was unaccounted for Tuesday evening.

Kohl was found and apprehended by Kingston police Wednesday.
CSC say they are continuing to investigate the circumstances around his escape.
Kohl is serving a sentence for the second-degree murder of Robert Zeszutek on March 26, 2002 in Burlington, Ont.
