Watch: Bird watchers look forward to a spectacular gathering of bald eagles this weekend

A real life nature show is playing out right now along the banks of the upper Fraser and Harrison rivers.

Chum salmon are spawning there in huge numbers.

Thanks to a relative lack of rain, the salmon are an easy meal and are attracting dozens of bald eagles.

And that’s guaranteed to bring in a crowd of people for this weekend’s Fraser Valley Bald Eagle Festival.
