WINNIPEG – The Jets leave the ice and another team takes over at the MTS Centre.
A conversion crew transforms the space from an NHL arena to a concert venue overnight.
The process takes a 20-person team about 6.5 hours starting at about 11:45 p.m.
They cover the ice (melting and re-making the ice would take far too long), push back bleachers, take down the glass and take out the benches and boards, then bring in the stage, lights and other concert accoutrements.
