The coroner’s inquest into the death of a man shot dead by the RCMP begins today.
26-year-old Angus Mitchell was fatally shot by police in May, 2012, in Maple Ridge.
He was the prime suspect in the fatal shooting of two people at a sushi restaurant, and he also injured his former landlord.
After his death investigators discovered Mitchell had a hit list with 10 people and businesses on it.
In April of this year, a review by the Vancouver Police Department found the officers who shot Mitchell were not guilty of any wrongdoing.
