Charlie’s Angel Farrah Fawcett has died

Farrah Fawcett, founding member of the 1970’s hit TV show Charlie’s Angels, died this morning in an L.A. hospital after a two and a half year long battle with Colorectal Cancer. She was 62.

In an interview set to air this Friday on 20/20, her longtime lover Ryan O’Neal admitted he’d proposed to Fawcett and was just waiting for her to say yes. “Maybe we can just nod her head,” he said.

“I know that everyone will die eventually, but I do not want to die of this disease,” Fawcett says in “Farrah’s Story,” a camcorder-shot documentary that aired in May on NBC. “I want to stay alive.”

Fawcett visited Vancouver in 1984 during the filming of the made for TV movie “The Burning Bed,” where she played Francine Hughes.

Fawcett will be remembered for founding Charlie’s Angels, her contravercial role in “The Burning Bed” and for her ahead of their times pinnups.
