A former teacher and businessman has pleaded guilty to sex charges that date back nearly 40 years.
72-year-old Warren Fertig entered the guilty plea on Friday in a Red Deer courtroom.

The charges were laid in 2011 after a former student said she had sex with Fertig when he was a teacher at Riverglen School in the 1970’s.
She was between the ages of 12 and 15 at the time.
Sentencing is set for January 17th.
