November 11 is a day of commemorating the men and women who have sacrificed their lives in times of war and conflict.
Here is a list of ceremonies happening Monday; many ceremonies are followed by public open houses at a local Royal Canadian Legion branch.
North Okanagan
Vernon: Kal Tire Place
Doors open for seating at 9:45 am for the community ceremony.
Armstrong: Hassen Arena
Ceremony begins at 10:30 am. Please arrive early to secure a seat.
Enderby: Cenotaph Park
Cenotaph ceremony starts at 10:35 am, followed by reception and refreshments at the Enderby Legion.
Central Okanagan

Kelowna: City Park Cenotaph
At 10:30 am participants will march from Stuart Park along Abbott Street to the Cenotaph in City Park for the ceremony.
Rutland: Lions Park Cenotaph
There’s a parade starting at 10:30 am from the Army, Navy & Air Force Veterans Unit 376’s parking lot (270 Dougall Road) to the Lion Park.
Lake Country: George Elliot Secondary School, 10241 Bottom Wood Lake Road
Attendees are asked to be seated inside the school by 10:30 am.
Peachland: Peachland Community Centre, 4450 6th Street
The community is invited to the venue at 10:20 am. At 11:00 am, there will be a fly-by at the Peachland Cenotaph.
West Kelowna: Royal LePage Place, 2760 Cameron Road
A parade will begin at 10:30, followed by the 11:00 am ceremony.
South Okanagan
Penticton: Trade and Convention Centre
Parade starts at 10:00 am at the curling rink. The ceremony begins inside the Trade and Convention Centre at 10:30 am.
Summerland: Memorial Park
Ceremony begins at 11:00 at the park.
Naramata: Manitou Park Cenotaph
The service takes place at 10:50 am at the cenotaph in the park. The public is invited to the Naramata Community Church Hall after the ceremony.
Osoyoos: Sonora Centre
Doors open at 10:00 am for the service at 10:45 am.
Oliver: Oliver Community Centre
Residents are invited to meet at the community centre at 9:45 am and march to their Cenotaph for the 11:00 am ceremony.
Princeton: Veterans Square
The ceremony begins at 11:00 am.
