Endorphin Junkies Trainer Erin Tetarenko – Go Beyond Your Expectations!

If you had your life to live over, what would you do?


If you could do anything tomorrow, what would you do?


If your time is now, what are you going to do? 


At the beginning of your journey towards a healthier lifestyle, many of you began with a willingness to change and ideas of how much change would take place.  You embarked on your own journeys towards a healthier lifestyle.  Goals were established and commitments to your health were made.  You set goals to challenge and push yourself.  However, you may have been unaware of your full potential.


Whether it was your baseline fitness levels, age, self-confidence, motivation, past experiences or other commitments, how did your perceived limitations effect your goal setting?  Did you aim high?   Did you challenge yourself beyond your comfort zone?  Did you reach your goal early on and realize you are capable of more than you initially expected?







We all have expectations of self, defined comfort zones, and fears that sometimes get in the way of setting our goals high.  Short term SMART goals help us stay focused and help us stay on path towards our long term goals.  But let’s not stop there.  Once you’ve accomplished something challenging, celebrate your achievement and reach for something greater.  Dare to make mistakes and take more chances.  Keep setting the bar higher and higher.  


You are capable of greatness beyond what you may think.  Your only limitation is yourself.  Just as an artist is limited only by his/her own creativity and imagination, your only limitations lie in your desire and capacity to aspire to greatness.   


The Global BC Healthy Lifestyle Challenge participants are proof that exceeding your own expectations is not only within reach, it is reality, and it can be done by all of us.  This past week, the participants proved to themselves they could climb mountains, literally.   With all the strength, endurance, confidence, and will power they’ve augmented over the past few months, the Healthy Lifestyle crew all persevered to climb Peak One of the Chief.  It was an amazing showing of dedication and desire to achieve.  It wasn’t always easy, but those were indications they were pushing themselves.  Now, with this accomplishment behind them, they’ve all set a new goal.  Next up, hiking all 3 peaks of the Chief!



  


It’s now your turn to challenge yourself outside your comfort zone.  There will be times you want to turn around and give up.  Don’t! Those are indications you are pushing yourself and you are not afraid of trying new things.


NOW is the time to let go of fears, raise your expectations, raise the bar for yourself, and dream BIG!  


This is your life. Make it the life of your dreams. 


Your time is NOW, what will you do?
