2 teens charged after reports of gun seen in Toronto high school: police

Two teens have been charged after three schools in Toronto were placed into lockdown over a weapons call on Tuesday, police said.

Toronto police said officers were called to Woburn Collegiate Institute at around 10 a.m. on Tuesday after receiving reports that someone had been seen with a gun.

Police said a boy allegedly had a firearm in the school.

Officers said the school, and two others in the immediate area were placed into lockdowns.

According to police, officers located two boys who were allegedly involved in the incident.

Police said an imitation firearm was recovered.

No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

According to police, two 14-year-old boys from Toronto were arrested.

They have each been charged with mischief.

Officers said both teens are scheduled to appear in court in March.
