Province gives more money to Saskatchewan Transportation Company

Saskatchewan Transportation Company (STC) gets $500,000 more from the government to stay on provincial roads. File / Global News

SASKATOON – Saskatchewan’s bus company is getting another $500,000 to keep rolling.

That’s on top of a $10 million subsidy STC received from the provincial government earlier this year.

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

STC is blaming some of its losses on the province’s highway traffic board for forcing it to keep operating two money-losing routes until the end of this year.

It also reports that it’s getting fewer connecting passengers from other bus lines.
