STC bus passenger fares increase again this year

SASKATOON – Saskatchewan Transportation Company (STC) passenger fares have increased for the second time this year.

On Tuesday, an average increase of 4.7 per cent or an additional $1.55 per trip came into effect for the provincial coach company.

In January, STC fares went up around 4.56 per cent.

STC says decreasing ridership and inflation have required it to look for ways to recoup costs while remaining competitively priced in the industry.

Ride Rewards members are reminded they can print a personalized coupon and present it to any STC ticket agent to get a ticket for just $20 in October.
