It’s cycling season in B.C. and there’s a new tool to find out the best route to get you from Point A to Point B.

The Centre for Health and Environment Research at UBC has created a unique map tool for cycling, using Google Maps in conjunction with data mapped of local cycling routes.
You can specify if you want to travel on designated cycling routes only, or if you would like to include roadways. There is even a way to specify the maximum slope percentage, and your desired speech in kilometers per hour.
Plus, the tool shows you how many calories you will burn and how many Greenhouse gases you will have prevented by cycling instead of driving.
