An article in The StarPhoenix led to the arrest Thursday morning of a U.S. man accused of numerous sex charges against children.
RCMP found Patrick Gage in Outlook after getting a tip from a woman who read about him in the newspaper, said RCMP spokesperson Carole Raymond.
“That’s why our complainant called. She had read an article in your newspaper . . . and learned that this person was possibly living in the province and knew him by name and by description and called it in,” said Raymond.
Outlook RCMP arrested Gage around 4 a.m. at the camper in which he has been living for the past three months.
Gage was recently featured on the TV show America’s Most Wanted. According to the show’s website, he was wanted on five charges of sexual assault.

According to the America’s Most Wanted website, it is alleged Gage repeatedly assaulted two different girls, each under the age of 14, between 2000 and 2007.
