OTTAWA – A soldier at a base in Manitoba has been charged with possessing, accessing and making available child pornography.
The Canadian Forces Investigation Service, a unit within the Canadian Forces military police, laid the charges Tuesday.

Bombardier Roger Sylvester, who is 24 and based at CFB Shilo, is also charged with improper storage of a firearm.

The investigation was conducted by the service as well as other law enforcement agencies in Manitoba.
It’s not known when Sylvester will be in court.
