A mayoral candidate, church pastor, and a local radio DJ were among a group of twenty-one people who lit themselves on fire in Cleveland, Ohio Saturday night to break a world record and raise money for charity.
Wearing protective gear and monitored by stuntman Ted Batchelor, the group lit themselves up around 8 p.m. and walked around for 32 seconds in front of a crowd of over 1,500 paying spectators.

“It’s all about bringing positives to Cleveland, and if we have to set ourselves on fire to do it, then so be it,” morning show host Archie Berwick told The Plain Dealer.
The group succeeded in breaking the previous world record of 17 people and raised money for the Cleveland Foodbank and the nonprofit Brick by Brick, which helps impoverished women and children in South Africa.
