The Vancouver Police are releasing a video of a possible suspect vehicle after a woman was severely beaten and sexually assaulted last Saturday, October 12.

The 25-year-old North Vancouver woman was leaving Gastown at about 2 a.m. when she flagged down what she believed to be a taxi in the 100-block of Water Street.

She got inside the minivan and was driven to an area in East Vancouver where she was sexually assaulted and severely beaten by the driver.

The woman did manage to escape and flag down a member of the public, who called 911.

She has now been released from hospital, but police have not found her attacker.

He is described as an Aboriginal man, approximately 35 to 39 years old and 5’11″ to 6′ tall. He is obese with a large belly, about 230 to 250 pounds, with a shaved head.
