About Marie-Josée Cardinal – Screenwriter

For almost twenty years, Marie-Josée Cardinal has been the original author and script-writer of a variety of texts fort the varied realms of television, corporate video, institutional communication and short stories.

For television, the author and script-writer has been particularly involved in projects destined to youth (Les Chatouilles du matin, Aller-Retour, Les Débrouillards ) as well as documentaries (Enfants de la DPJ, En mal de mère, La Guerre des sexes, Téléromans PQ, Arnaques, Aller simple pour Sirius). Her talents, ideas and curiosity have lead her write texts for scientific expositions and to produce many corporate videos. She also has published three short stories, Version originale, La Nouille and Monsieur Beauregard and a book entitled Montreal d’est en ouest which recounts Montreal’s history to youth.

Her original ideas have earned her many awards and certificates of excellence; she has been invited as guest speaker to many conferences. She also has shared her passion for creative scriptwriting as a educator as the university level.

Marie-Josée Cardinal holds a Master’s degree in French Studies from the University of Montreal and has pursued doctorate studies in Creative Writing at the University of Sherbrooke.
