PENTICTON — It’s an organization that helps Okanagan residents who can’t easily get around, but now the group is itself reaching out for support.

Penticton’s non-profit “Meals on Wheels” needs more volunteers to help meet demand.

Sandra Henderson, a Meals on Wheels Coordinator, says the job requires just two hours of commitment at least once a week, delivering hot and frozen meals to customers in the Penticton area.

She says a volunteer must have “a generous heart.”

If this sounds like you, contact Sandra at 250-492-9095.

The office is open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
