Flu clinics scheduled to vaccinate central Sask.

PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. – Prince Albert Parkland Health Region urges central Saskatchewan to protect themselves with flu season on the rise.

People interested in getting a free flu shot will have access the influenza immunization clinics starting Monday, Oct. 21.

“Influenza prevention really does begin with individuals who get the flu shot, regularly wash their hands and practice effective cough etiquette,” said Dr. Khami Chokani, the region’s medical health officer.

“You can help protect yourself, your family and your community.”

Starting Oct. 21, the main drop-in clinic will be operating out of Prince Albert’s South Hill Mall, Monday to Saturday, from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. until Nov. 9.

Flu clinics are offered in many locations throughout the region until the beginning of December.

Most clinics are drop-ins but some require appointments.
