Suspected car thieves arrested, say Midway RCMP

Two suspects have been arrested, Midway RCMP said on Friday, after a stolen car was abandoned on Thursday.

Midway RCMP said the stolen car originated from the Kelowna area, and that when officers tried to stop it, the vehicle fled.

It was later found, abandoned, near an embankment in the area of Florence Street and Fritz Road.

Police then asked local residents to be vigilant, and described the two suspects as both being in their 40s, adding they were dressed in black.

On Friday afternoon, though, police said the two had been arrested, and that residents no longer have to be on the lookout for the two.
