RCMP bust massive grow op in Anglemont

Police have seized over 4000 marijuana plants that were being produced inside buildings in Anglemont, BC.

Chase RCMP, assisted by RCMP Air Services, Police Dog Services and Central Interior Traffic Services out of Kamloops, executed a search warrant in the 7000 block of the Squilax Anglemont Highway.

Police also found over 60 pounds of dried product ready to be packaged for distribution.

Police recovered commercial grade growing equipment including two stolen BC Hydro power transformers and were in use in the grow operation. Also discovered was a hydro electric bypass, indicating a theft of the power that was running to this operation.

Five adults and one youth were arrested at the scene and will be facing numerous charges. All subjects remain in police custody at this time, and the investigation is continuing.
