‘Gunless’ to show in Oliver

A big budget Western movie filmed in the South Okanagan will debut at an Oliver theatre this week as it’s rolled out across the country as well.

"Gunless" was shot in the hills above Osoyoos last summer. The desert landscape was transformed into a Wild West town for the movie, starring Canadian actor Paul Gross.

The story follows an American gunslinger who accidentally finds himself in a small Canadian town where there are no guns.

The $10 mill. production is one of the biggest movies ever shot in the Okanagan Valley.

It opens nationwide this week, with the Okanagan premier held Friday night at the Oliver theatre.
