Police said officers received reports of a stabbing inside Scarborough Town Centre Mall at around 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Toronto Police Const. Alex Li told reporters that there was a fight between two groups inside of the mall.

When officers arrived they found three victims with stab wound injuries, Li said.

All three were transported to hospital with serious injuries, Li said.

Police did not release the ages of the injured. Li said investigators believe this was an isolated incident.

Officers, alongside mall security, were able to make a quick arrest of a 14-year-old boy, Li said. A knife was also recovered.

“This was [at] a mall on a weekday, a week night, so there were many members of the public that were inside the mall, may have witnessed the incident, may have captured it on a cellphone camera,” Li said. “We are appealing to those members of the public to contact police.”
