The City of Vancouver plans to redesign the north plaza in front of the Vancouver Art Gallery and they want your input.

In 2012, the city held a series of open houses on what to do with the space, which is currently covered in bark mulch and home to a large fountain which is in poor condition.

The provincial government owns the plaza and leases it back to the city.

The space is used by various festivals and was also home to the Occupy Vancouver tent city.

Early this month, the city selected an architect for the project and are now showing off the preliminary plans.

The first open house will be held Tuesday, October 1 from 5:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. at UBC Robson Square on the Plaza Lounge. A second open house is scheduled for Saturday, October 5 between 12:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m.
