Harry Potter exhibition coming to Edmonton

Edmonton – Harry Potter fans will have a chance to step inside the famous wizard’s world when “Harry Potter: The Exhibition” opens at TELUS World of Science in late November.

The exhibition will have hundreds of authentic costumes and film props from all eight of the Harry Potter films.

According to TELUS World of Science, “The Exhibition immerses fans in the experience as they get a firsthand view of authentic artifacts displayed in detailed settings by the film sets.”

Edmonton will be the tenth stop for the exhibition which is ending its five-year world tour.

The exhibition debuted in Chicago in 2009 and has been touring the world with recent stops in Tokyo, New York and Singapore.

“Bringing Harry Potter: The Exhibition to Edmonton is exciting. Providing world-class entertainment to the people of Edmonton and Alberta is essential as our community continues to grow and attract people from around the globe,” says George Smith, President & CEO, TELUS World of Science in a news release.

The exhibition opens Saturday, November 23 and will run through Sunday, March 9, 2014. It will be open daily.
