Nothing suspicious found after London, Ont. Walmart evacuated over bomb threat: police

London police say nothing suspicious was found after the Walmart in Argyle Mall in London, Ont., was evacuated over a bomb threat.

In an email to Global News Sunday afternoon, London police said the bomb threat was received at around 11:17 a.m.

“The store was searched with the assistance of members of the Explosives Disposal Unit (EDU) and an LPS Police Service Dog,” police said in a statement. “Nothing suspicious was located.”

Walmart and surrounding businesses were evacuated for hours.

Police continue to investigate and is asking anyone with information to call the London Police Service at (519) 661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
