Winnipeg Jets trim roster

The Winnipeg Jets trimmed their roster by five players Tuesday leaving head coach Claude Noel with 27 players still in training camp.

Of the five are heading to the Jets AHL farm team in St.John’s, Newfoundland. They are Ivan Telegin, Eric O’Dell, Andrew Gordon and 2011 3rd round draft pick Adam Lowry. Gordon has to clear NHL waivers before he can head to the IceCaps.

2013 first round selection defenceman Josh Morrissey is being returned to the WHL’s Prince Albert Raiders.

The Jets will wrap up their exhibition season with Thursday and Friday games versus the Boston Bruins.
