“They could face various charges, including attempted murder and conspiracy.”

Police say the shooting happened around 3 p.m. in the back parking lot of a strip mall at the intersection of Rome and Route 132 in Brossard.

The victim, whose age is not known, was shot while sitting in the passenger seat of a vehicle. He was rushed to hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

Police say they were able to link a second crime scene in Candiac, also located on Montreal’s south shore, to the arrests. Two firearms were also seized as part of the ongoing investigation.
