Sunday saw the first day of fall and the first day of a snowfall at Whistler Blackcomb.
The first flakes started to come down Saturday night and continued into Sunday, with about five to seven centimeters falling in total.
“It was a full blizzard up at the Roundhouse,” said spokesperson and ‘snow expert’ Jill Young.
While it will warn up a little during the week, more snow is expected.
This weekend the forecast is calling for another 40 centimetres to fall up high.
This year, the snow started earlier than last year, but Young said it is hard to really know when the first flakes will come down.

Whistler officially opens for the season on November 28, but they could push that date up if enough snow falls before then.
“The sooner the better,” said Young.
